Clearly there are some powerful forces working to stop single payer. Can you please tell us EXACTLY who these people are -- not "big pharma and big medico -- but "Bill Roberts at XYZ Associates on K Street, who has spent $5 million to block this..."

my first response would be the US chamber of commerce, as it's been like this in the past. this article helps to explain the complexities of the lobbying and other efforts to stop health care reform. you gotta track the money directly and counter their strategy on a broad scale:
