Why do you keep blocking HR676? We can save hundreds of billions per year with true single payer. Stop sacrificing us to keep robber barons alive! Medicare has a 2% overhead vs. 30% for private insurance. Why would want to keep this waste alive!?

Congressman Conyers has 80 co-sponsors in the House for HR 676, or Expanded Medicare for All, which is single payer health care. Senator Bernie Sanders has S.703 in the Senate which isn't getting much support. What's wrong with the Senate? We need to get on their case and let them know this is what we want. No more insurance companies stealing our health with their profits!

How can you deny any any U.S. Citizen the right to healthcare regardless of ability to pay?

I am tired of Democrats who are afraid to get into battles with Republicans and other Democrats. The Republicans will use any tactic they can to derail healthcare reform. It is time to roll up your sleeves and start twisting arms.

Seniors have a single payer health care plan through Medicare. Why not simply extend that same care to all Americans?

Any senator who opposes the public option will be seen as being in the pocket of lobbyists. Come the next election, we will vote them out.

Why is there even a debate over US citizens deserving a right to a public healthcare choice their representatives receive

If they are not for profit companies, they would be more ethical, by not having an incentive to deny claims, increase premiums and drop customers who are high risk.

There's no question that Americans need a public health insurance option in order to be able to afford quality health care. It's been shown that there are many links between oral conditions (such as gum disease) and conditions such as heart disease and diabetes. In the long run, having affordable dental coverage, and thus access to dental care, to treat such conditions such as gum disease, can actually result in healthier people overall.

Take away their health coverage so they start to get it.

In his press conference today, President Obama pointed out that if the Insurance companies truly are putting the care of their customers first, rather than choosing only healthy people to cover, collecting premiums and avoiding paying out, then why would they be afraid of a public option? The facts are that the insurance companies need an attitude adjustment. A public option competing in the marketplace will incentivize private insurers to do the right thing and make the IT innovations necessary for our health and cutting admin costs.

Can the positions and vote on healthcare of each member of both houses be published for easy viewing?
